Amy
Jennings will complete undergraduate degrees in both journalism
and history in May 2004. She is currently working part-time
as an intern at the Iowa City bureau of The Gazette
newspaper. She writes feature stories and profiles for the
Community section of the newspaper. Prior to beginning at
The Gazette in May 2003, Jennings worked for ten
months as a metro reporter at The Daily Iowan.
Although
she has concentrated the majority of her college experience
on journalism, Jennings took the law school admission examination
in October and hopes to attend law school at the University
of Iowa in the fall of 2004.
Jennings
was born in Chicago but received most of her elementary
schooling and all of her high school education in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa. She has one younger sister, Kristin, who is
a freshman at Wayne State University in Nebraska. Her parents,
Scott and Sue, reside in Cedar Rapids.
