Sara
Faiwell is a University of Iowa student has wanted to be
a reporter from a young age. She is now working for The
Des Moines Register as an Iowa City correspondent.
Faiwell's
previous reporting experience includes a features internship
at The Gazette in Colorado Springs, and internships
at Roll Call in Washington D.C., and The Gazette
in Cedar Rapids. She started her reporting career at The
Daily Iowan as a metro reporter during her first two years
at Iowa. Faiwell also freelances monthly for Young Money,
a magazine geared toward college students.
In
her free time, Faiwell enjoys outdoor activities and spending
time with her family in the Chicago suburbs. She’s
an avid water-skier and enjoys cooking.
Faiwell
hopes to land a job at a daily newspaper as a metro or features
reporter when she graduates this May.
